Nadeem Shah
Nadeem Shah is a doctoral student and a researcher in thermal fluid sciences at UMBC. He has served as a maintenance engineer, a Quality Control Inspector, and a Human Resource manager in the aviation industry. He has been working as a Research Assistant since January 2024 on developing an in-vitro Mock Circulatory Loop and optical measurement techniques to visualize the flow field. He aspires to fill the ever-required gap between industry and academia by helping young engineers and researchers.
Emily Kruszon
Emily Kruszon is a PhD student at UMBC. She earned her Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering at UMBC while being a teaching fellow for the university’s fluid mechanics course, then her Masters degree with a focus on thermal and fluid sciences. She has been a research assistant since 2022, working on surface-modified airfoil aerodynamics at low velocities. As a PhD student, she now also works on flow quantification in a CDC bioreactor.
